Hummingbird Season

I have friends who are avid bird watchers. Their yards are gleefully adorned with bird feeders and bird baths. Their watching station is well equipped with binoculars and reference books. I love to visit them and revel in the colorful fluttering of wings!

We love to have parties!  No, not wild parties!  We’ve outgrown that.  I guess you could call our parties “mild parties.”  They may be rather tame, but they are always fun.

Recently, Mike Bassett, a member of our advisory board who hails from Boone, NC, made a point of stopping by Uncle Gus's Mountain Pit Barbecue Restaurant. Mike knows a thing or two about starting new plans, and his council is always taken seriously. Mike knows that often times, breaking bread can lead to ground breaking ideas.

Look at this awesome rainbow! I am always inspired and humbled when I see a rainbow. What a thing of beauty! And this particular rainbow was exceptionally large, and exceptionally inspiring for me.
